This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") explains how Keynomic, Inc. ("Company", "we" or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you access or use the websites, applications, tools, features, content, functionality, and other online products or services made available by Company where this Privacy Policy is linked (collectively, the "Services" or "Platform"), or otherwise interact with us in connection with the Services. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, by providing additional notice through the Services or as otherwise required by applicable law.
1. Collection of Information
Certain features of the Services request financial, housing, affordability, or related information in order to provide functionality, generate estimates, produce scoring outputs (including the Keynomic Score™), and deliver related services. We recognize that financial, affordability, housing, and related profile information may be sensitive, and we collect this information to provide and improve the Services as described in this Privacy Policy. As used in this Privacy Policy, "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to an identified or identifiable individual.
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
We collect information that you choose to provide to us in connection with your access to and use of the Services, including when you create an account, join a waitlist, submit a request, communicate with us, configure settings, or otherwise interact with the Services. Such information may include:
- Account and Contact Information. We collect identifiers and contact information you provide, such as your first name, last name, email address, user type, phone number, and other similar information.
- Financial, Housing, and Property Information. We collect financial, housing, commercial, and property-related information you choose to provide, including income, assets, liabilities, debts, savings, monthly obligations, affordability-related inputs, housing preferences, transaction preferences, property interests, target search locations, risk tolerance preferences, affordability preferences, and related financial or housing information.
- Communications and Support Information. We collect information you provide when you communicate with us, including support inquiries, feedback, survey responses, messages, and uploaded content.
- Inquiries and Other Information You Provide. We collect any other information you choose to provide to us in connection with the Services, including questions, requests, preferences, and content you submit through forms, surveys, or other interactive features.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
When you access or use the Services, we automatically collect information about you, including:
- Usage Information. We collect information about how you use the Services, including feature usage, interaction data, session activity, navigation activity, pages or screens viewed, links clicked, time spent, and other usage patterns.
- Log and Diagnostic Information. We collect information related to your access to and use of the Services, including access times, crashes and error reports, your IP address, and referring or exit pages.
- Device Information. We collect information about the device you use to access the Services, including hardware model, operating system and version, device identifiers, mobile network information, browser type, and other technical information.
- Location Information. We may derive an approximate location of your device from your IP address.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies. We and our service providers may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, support authentication, understand usage, and improve performance. For more information, see Section 9 below.
- Analytics and Measurement Data. We collect analytics and measurement data, including usage metrics and interaction information, to measure performance, debug issues, and improve the Services. This data may be collected using third-party analytics tools.
- Advertising and Marketing Data. We and our advertising and marketing partners may collect information about your interactions with the Services through cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to deliver advertising, measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, perform remarketing activities, and provide content and advertisements that may be more relevant to your interests.
- Payment and Transaction Information. If you purchase a Subscription, payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We generally do not receive or store your full payment card number; however, we may receive limited billing and transaction information from our payment processors to administer subscriptions, prevent fraud, and provide customer support.
1.3 Information We Collect from Other Sources
We may also obtain information from other sources. For example, we may collect information from property data providers, market data sources, analytics providers, advertising partners, service providers, publicly available sources, and other third-party sources that help us operate or improve the Services.
1.4 Information We Derive
We may derive information or draw inferences based on the information you provide and other information collected through the Services to improve the Services. For example, we may infer affordability insights from the financial information you provide, or generate financial planning outputs and scoring-related outputs (including the Keynomic Score™). We use derived information and inferences primarily to operate, personalize, and improve the Services and to generate the outputs you request.
2. Use of Information
2.1 General
We use the information we collect for the purposes described below:
- Provide, maintain, operate, and improve the Services. We use information to operate, maintain, support, secure, monitor, and improve the Services, including core functionality, availability, and performance.
- Manage subscriptions, purchases, and entitlements. We use information to manage subscriptions, purchases, renewals, billing status, and user entitlements.
- Communicate with You. We use information to communicate with you about the Services, including service-related announcements, updates, security notifications, account notices, and support responses.
- Account, waitlist, and customer support administration. We use information to administer waitlists, invitations, accounts, beta access, customer support, and user entitlements.
- Monitor and analyze usage and performance. We use information to monitor and analyze trends, usage patterns, feature engagement, and performance metrics, including to measure performance and improve functionality, reliability, and user experience.
- Research and development; AI and modeling. We use information in connection with research and development activities, including to develop, test, and improve features, functionality, and service offerings, and to support artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, affordability modeling, scoring methodologies, and modeling systems used in the Services.
- Marketing and advertising. We use information to market and advertise our products and services and to measure engagement, attribution, performance, and campaign effectiveness, subject to your communication preferences and opt-out rights described in Section 9. This includes the use of behavioral and targeted advertising tracking technologies to deliver personalized advertisements based on your interests and interactions with the Services.
- Legal and compliance. We use information to enforce our terms, policies, and other agreements; to comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and to respond to lawful requests by public authorities.
- Security; fraud prevention; and trust and safety. We use information to detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to security incidents, fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or other malicious or unlawful activity, and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Company and others.
2.2 Keynomic Score™ and Affordability Outputs
We use information you provide through the Services to generate affordability insights, financial planning outputs, estimates, and scoring-related outputs, including the Keynomic Score™. These outputs are intended to assist users in evaluating affordability and housing-related planning considerations and are not lending, underwriting, credit, or eligibility determinations. Certain features of the Services may involve automated tools, artificial intelligence, or conversational interfaces that process your inquiries, requests, inputs, and interactions to generate responses, scores, or related outputs.
3. Sharing of Information
3.1 General
We may share information about you as follows:
- Affiliates. We may share information between and among Company and our current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common ownership or control, for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
- Participating Providers. If you affirmatively request, direct, initiate, or authorize an interaction with a real estate professional, lender, financial institution, or other service provider through the Services, we may share your information with the applicable Participating Provider to facilitate the requested interaction. We will not share your identifiable Personal Information with a Participating Provider unless you affirmatively request, direct, initiate, or authorize such sharing.
- Service Providers and Vendors. We may share information with vendors, service providers, contractors, and consultants that perform services on our behalf or help us operate the Services, including hosting providers, cloud storage, analytics vendors, communications vendors, CRM providers, data processors, security vendors, infrastructure providers, and customer support tools.
- Marketing and Advertising Partners. We may share information with marketing, advertising, retargeting, attribution, and measurement partners to help market and measure the effectiveness of the Services, subject to your communication preferences, applicable law, and applicable opt-out rights described in Section 9.
- Business Transfers. We may share information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, dissolution, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
- Legal and Compliance Purposes. We may share information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to enforce our terms, policies, or other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, our users, or others.
- With Your Direction or Consent. We may share information with third parties when you direct us to do so or when you provide your consent. We may also share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
4. Aggregated and De-Identified Information
4.1 Use of Aggregated and De-Identified Information
We may aggregate, anonymize, de-identify, or otherwise process information collected through the Services so that it can no longer reasonably be used to identify you or any individual ("Aggregated Information"). We may use Aggregated Information for legitimate business and operational purposes, including operating, maintaining, and improving the Services; analytics and performance measurement; product development and testing; artificial intelligence and machine learning training and improvement; benchmarking and modeling; research and development; security and fraud prevention; commercialization, market trend reporting, industry insights, and other internal business and operational purposes.
4.2 Disclosure of Aggregated and De-Identified Information
We may also disclose Aggregated Information to service providers, partners, advisors, analytics providers, commercial partners, and other third parties for lawful business purposes, provided that such information does not reasonably identify you or any individual.
4.3 Re-identification Restrictions
Where required by applicable law, we will maintain and use de-identified information in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify such information except as permitted by applicable law.
5. Analytics Services Provided by Others
We use third-party analytics providers to help us understand how the Services are used and to improve their performance and functionality. These providers may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, device identifiers, and similar technologies to collect information about your use of the Services and, where applicable, other websites or applications. You can control certain of these technologies as described in Section 9.2.
6. Data Retention
6.1 General
We retain information for as long as your account or relationship with us remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter, consistent with the operation of the Services and the features you use.
6.2 Account Termination or Deletion
If you delete your account or request deletion of information, we generally take steps to delete or de-identify such information within a reasonable period, subject to the exceptions described below and excluding information retained through routine system backups or operational processes.
6.3 Legal, Safety, and Enforcement Needs
We may retain information for longer periods where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect the safety and security of the Services, prevent fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6.4 Aggregated or De-Identified Information
We may retain information in aggregated or de-identified form for analytics, service improvement, and operational purposes, where such information cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
6.5 Backup Systems
Residual copies of information may remain in backup systems for a limited period consistent with standard data retention and disaster recovery practices.
7. Data Location
We are based in the United States, and the Services are operated primarily from the United States. Information collected through the Services may be stored and processed in the United States and other locations where Company or its service providers maintain operations. Company currently intends to rely primarily on U.S.-based infrastructure where commercially reasonable and operationally feasible, subject to applicable law and the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
8. Data Security
8.1 Data Security Measures
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to help protect information collected through the Services against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security or the security of information transmitted through the Services.
8.2 Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, limiting access to your devices, and notifying us promptly if you discover or suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account or credentials.
9. Your Choices
9.1 Account Information
You may update and correct certain account information you provide to us at any time by logging into your account or contacting us at privacy@keynomic.com. If you request deletion or deactivation of your account or information, we will process the request in accordance with this Privacy Policy and may retain certain information as described in Section 6 or as otherwise permitted by law.
9.2 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, tags, and similar technologies for analytics, advertising, attribution, personalization, and remarketing purposes. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You may adjust your browser or device settings to remove or reject cookies or limit certain tracking technologies. Please note that doing so may affect the availability or functionality of some features of the Services.
9.3 Marketing Communications
You may opt out of receiving marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those communications or by contacting us at privacy@keynomic.com. Even if you opt out, we may continue to send non-promotional or administrative messages, such as account notices, service updates, or messages relating to your transactions or interactions through the Services.
9.4 Communications Preferences
By providing your contact information through the Services and requesting, directing, initiating, or authorizing interactions with Participating Providers, you consent to receive communications from Company and, where applicable, from Participating Providers in connection with those requested interactions, subject to your communication preferences and applicable law. Standard message and data rates may apply to SMS or mobile communications.
10. Children's Information
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect information from children under eighteen (18). If you believe that a child under eighteen (18) has provided information through the Services, please contact us using the information provided in Section 12, and we will take reasonable steps to investigate and address the issue.
11. Third-Party Services
The Services may include links to, integrations with, or connections to third-party websites, applications, platforms, services, products, or technologies that are not owned, operated, or controlled by Company ("Third-Party Services"). This Privacy Policy does not apply to Third-Party Services. Information collected by or shared with Third-Party Services is governed by the applicable third party's privacy policies, practices, and terms. Company is not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, content, or practices of any Third-Party Services.
